Kyoto is an iconic city on the map of Japan. No wonder why every year it has been visited by so many tourists. Kyoto is also a favourite city for photographers. You can find here many fantastic spots to take some incredible shots. Just bear in mind that you need to wake up early enough to skip the crowd if you want to capture empty places.
My favourite photographic spots are: Fushimi Inari Temple – lots of red/orange torii’s, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Zenrinji (Eikando) Temple, Kinkaku-ji Temple, Sogenchi Garden.
Nara was the capital of Japan, and the Emperor (天皇) lived there before moving the capital to Kyoto. This place has 8 temples and a very beautiful park where you will find some very friendly deer… although remember that they can be a bit aggressive too. If you love animals and you love taking photos of them – that is the place for you. You not gonna regret it, so make sure you will visit Nara.
