Istanbul is the most impressive, cosmopolitan and magical city I have ever visited. The place where east meets west, Europe ends and Asia begins. City of history, culture and people. It’s not only great spot on the map but also fantastic place with delicious food, beautiful architecture and breathtaking landscapes. It’s one of the biggest cities in the world with population of 20 million inhabitant and it is a safe place. Even though it is a city located on a peninsula is very well connected by public transport. The most touristic attractions are fairly close to each other so you can walk between. The best neighbourhood to stay is Karaköy where you will find plenty of lovely coffee shops and restaurant in quaint little streets. What impressed me most was the Hagia Sophia and 360° view from Galata Tower, Süleymaniye Cami Mosque (and the view from the hill). I have to admit I waited way too long to visit this amazing city. Highly recommend for your bucket list. Oh! I almost forgot… Do not hesitate to try local treat called TRILEÇE cake.
After some time spent in the big city, you can escape by plane to southern Turkey. The best destination is Antalya – one of the most beautiful cities in Turkey. Located on Anatolia’s southwest coast bordered by the Taurus Mountains, Antalya is the largest Turkish city on the Mediterranean coast. You can find here everything you need… sunny weather, clear sea, high mountains and lively city… perfect place for relaxing, shopping or just to sightseeing with your camera taking some stunning landscapes.
